Sitting on the shaded back terrace of L'Embellie Villa, there is nothing, except maybe a passing pelican or frigate bird, to block the view of the aqua-blue Caribbean sea and the steep, green mountains of St. Martin and St. Barts that lie across the Anguilla Channel.

The Beach Villa and Garden Cottage sit on an acre of mature, lush tropical gardens - with lime trees, pineapple, plantain and banana plants, bougainvillea shrubs, coconut palms and spider lilies - bordered by 150 feet of secluded white-sand beach and the shallow, protected waters of Forest Bay.

Most days at L'Embellie there's no need to leave the property, let alone wear shoes. Tiled paths wind through the gardens and connect the two homes with the heated pool, umbrella covered tables and the property's beach. The sheltered bay offers great snorkeling, fishing and sailing our Walker's Bay sailboat.

Both the Villa beach Caribbean and Garden Cottage have shaded hammocks, perfect for a post-lunch nap or watching the hummingbirds and black-and-yellow bananaquits that live on the grounds. The heated pool is there for an evening swim, before enjoying a gin and tonic while grilling some locally-caught lobster and snapper.

Secluded and private, L'Embellie Villa beach Caribbean guarantees quiet relaxation, but is within a short drive to the island's superb dining and beaches.
